What is Percufola?
Percufola is a program designed to write Djembe and Dounoumba drums. The current version is not definitive but the near future of this project depends upon your comments. By the way, I acknowledge all the persons who have already helped me in my researches.
Percufola / Percussion Studio
In this area, Percussion Studio is the reference. Percufola provides similar features but in an other way.
Thanks to Percussion Studio, musicians can create their first score in few seconds whereas Percufola requiers to place measures and to select the duration of each note. This way allows to manage common music notation and to have different signature times on one stave (many "breaks" in African rhythm needs that feature).
Percufola is a new project thus it offers less options. That the reason why instruments are currently limited.
What Percufola cannot do:
- create and add your own instrument
- listen your score
- print your score
What Percufola does:
- editing of drums' score in respect of Common Music Notation
- voice management means that instruments can be grouped (for instance, a Sangban is created with it's Clave. Each instrument has its own stave).
- easy management of ternary, binary and complex measure.
- adding of flams which may start or finish with accuracy on the time
- manages hand positions
